New Feature on Sailfish Swimming Web Site

Under "Meet the Team" you will find JCC Sailfish High School Performances from 2000 to 2008.

   Between 1999/2000 and 2007/2008, JCC Sailfish swimmers have achieved the following:

                                    15 PIAA State Champions – at least 1 each year

                                    13 PIAA State Runner-ups

                                    69 PIAA State Finalists

                                     50 WPIAL District Champions – at least 4 each year

                                    36 WPIAL District Runner-ups

    Sailfish Place 2nd at “Super Sectionals”

           Scheid wins 400 Free, Seiferth wins 200 Fly

              The Sailfish swam fast and placed 2nd (Combined Team Score) at the 2008 Eastern Zone Long Course Speedo Champions Series Meet at Penn State University – July 17-20.

 

            Ten of eleven swimmers scored points in either a relay or an individual event in a tremendous team effort.  The Sailfish were 2nd only to the famed North Baltimore Aquatic Club, in a meet that had over 350 swimmers from more than 85 clubs from each of the 12 states of the Eastern Zone.

 

            Highlights from the meet:

 

·         Trevor Scheid – 1st – 400 FR (4:03.98); 3rd – 200 FR (1:56.13  ); 7th 100 FR (:53.63)

·         Mike Seiferth – 1st – 200 FL (2:04.59); 4th – 100 FL (:57.25)

·         Steve Kustra – 3rd – 200 IM (2:11.13); 3rd – 200 BR (2:26.64); 6th – 100 BR (1:07.41); 8th – 400 IM (4:43.60)

·         Aileen Smith – 5th – 800 FR (9:08.59); 7th – 400 FR (4:28.12); 7th – 1500 FR (17:40.06); 9th – 400 IM (5:02.41) – JR NATIONAL CUT!!

·         Andrea Marko – 9th – 100 FL (1:04.36); 10th – 100 BK (1:07.28)

·         David Paulk – 12th – 400 IM (4:46.49)

·         Matt Connor – 19th – 200 IM (2:14.63)

·         Margaux Georgiadis – 24th – 200 FR (2:10.25)

 

·         Men’s 400 FR Relay – 4th  (Seiferth, Scheid, Kustra, Paulk)

·         Men’s 400 Medley Relay – 4th  (Scheid, Kustra, Seiferth, Paulk)

·         Women’s 400 FR Relay – 7th  (Leah Smith, Margaux Georgiadis, Katlin coghe, Aileen Smith)

·         Women’s 800 FR Relay – 6th  (Morgan Stoner, Georgiadis, Marko, A. Smith)

·         Women’s 400 Medley Relay – 9th  (Stoner, A. Smith, Marko, Georgiadis)
